1st Annual MWG Spring Retreat
JOHN FLOYD, Facilitator: John Floyd's short
stories have appeared in The Strand Magazine,
Grit, Woman's World, Alfred Hitchcock's Mystery
Magazine, and many other publications. He has
been nominated three times for the Pushcart
Prize, and a number of his stories are available
on Amazon Shorts. A book of his short fiction,
Rainbow's End, was released in October 2006.
He is the recipient of the 2007 Derringer Award.

Magnolia Plantation:
8:30 AM to 10:00 AM - Annual Meeting (Mississippi Writers Guild
members only) Non-members are free to mingle on the beautiful
grounds or inside in the hotel. Breakfast in the dining room is also
available for $8.50.
10:00 to 12:00 - Spring Retreat workshop with John Floyd
12:00 to 2:00 PM lunch and writing assignments
2:00 to 4:00 PM - Workshop continuation with John Floyd
